Marked annually on March 8th, International Women’s Day is celebrated to cherish women globally. A global day whereas we are able to celebrate any kind of social, economic, political, or even cultural achievements earned by women. Women these days; especially during the digital era, are multifaceted, strong, highly independent and not to mention they carry out beauty in every occasion. With this spirit that we believed, this year, Baleton commemorated International Women’s Day by #WomenPower campaign.
As we all know, us from Baleton; the Korean inspired florist based in Jakarta, mostly consists of women as member of the family. Women take most part in our florist industry we've been running and it’s truly an amazing feeling! How’s so? From time to time, Baleton’s members are mostly women and we proudly say that the women behind Baleton are highly-dedicated to keep the business going. It’s a living proof that women are able to maintain a powerhouse business that lasts long!
We believe that women has their potential to do something great, it’s the value we’ve been looking up to and we would like to take some time to cherish it. As this year’s International Women’s Day, we bring up #WomenPower campaign to tell powerful women out there to as a reminder of what they have and what they are capable of. Like they always said, empowered women empower women too, right? We live up to it and this year we’re implementing it in real life.
Celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day, we decided to march and give some appreciation to those women who Baleton’s followers considered as a well-deserved ones. We connected them by giving away some chance to earn flowers from us! A lot of Baleton’s followers participated during this giveaway we held on Instagram, the responds were fascinating! Another proof that women sure does empower other women too! What can we say? We are truly proud of our followers and also the women who received the flowers we sent that day.
We feel honored to be the one who connected both the receiver and the sender. Even this whole pandemic situation didn’t stop us to gift other empowered women during International Women’s Day. We shipped the flowers to those women our followers think as the well-deserved ones. Our followers thanked these women for being such an inspiration to them. Some mentioned their closest person like their mom, sibling or even themselves as the women who inspired them the most. While there are some of our followers who mentioned public figures such as Indonesia’s celebrity chef Renatta Moeloek and the go-international singer Agnes Monica. Among them all, we chose 10 lucky winners who get to send their idols Baleton’s flower arrangements.
Perhaps some of you might be asking, what type of flowers we’ve been talking about to gift these special women? Purple, green and white are the identical colors for International Women’s Day, so we decided to celebrate it this year with this color palette as our muse for the flower arrangements. We used Cymbidium White, Rose Cool Water and Purple Tulip, each represents the things related to describe women as a strong and elegant figure. The fun fact is, the dominant color we used to symbolize admiration for women is actually purple. We used purple-themed flowers the most since purple signifies justice and dignity, the color that also matched to represent our admiration to those women we’re looking up to.
It’s been a blast celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day, us from Baleton are even more excited to see what’s next to cherish and making powerful women happy. The excitement of Baleton’s followers are also breath-taking, it’s really good to know that women still cherish each other during this pandemic and fast-pacing world. We are beyond grateful to have you as our followers, and we can’t thank you enough for the support!
