During the last period of time, we’ve been crossing our fingers even more often. Feeling joyous and nervous at the same time, you name it. Mixed feelings through the whole process were real. But on top of it, we are beyond grateful and excited to announce that Baleton has a new home! Most of you might already know the news from our updates in social media, but later on we will tell you the highlight of this journey in finding a new home for Baleton.
Back a year ago, we were dealing with the same issue day by day; our flower studio seems incapable to contain dozens of flowers that we’ve arranged. We do love our flower studio, yet we have to face the reality that we need to search for a wider space to accommodate these babies. Truth be told, our studio was so full until we barely can move freely to arrange the flowers, especially during big days! Another reason to move to a new home is since the beginning, we dreamed of a place we raise as our own, a proper slash dedicated place for Baleton. Then it was settled, we began our search for a new home.
We searched for the new home slowly because we believe that finding a new home isn’t an easy peasy lemon squeezy kind of thing, it’s like finding the right one without the help of a matchmaker. What we know for sure is that we want the new home to be five times more spacious than our current studio. We searched and searched, not to forget that we spent our money wisely in hopes we can save more for our new home. Long story short, God really heard our prayers and even twice better! We bumped into a huge old house located only a 15-minute walk from our current studio, which surprisingly has not only five but ten times larger space than our studio.
This old house caught our eyes. Its high-ceilings, enormous space it offers to us, not to mention the sunlight that easily goes through its huge windows. Given the fact that this house is like the house of our dream, it would be a shame not to buy it and ‘treat it well'. From that moment we decided to make it ours. Later on, we use professional service to beautify the house, we think it would be wise to make the two-story house not just as a house, but a home. After all, that’s our intention from the beginning, right? So we worked together with BOLV interior design studio. Along with the architecture and contractor, we discussed every detail; the colors are chosen from the palette, its exterior look, basically every inch from the corner of the house are considered. Well-planned in this case is a must!
A lot of you reading this might think, why it would be such a big deal to plan this house really well. We’ve mentioned that we were looking for a new home for Baleton, yet we actually have a long-term goal for the new home. In the future, when all is set, we’re planning and also hoping that this home isn’t just a place for Baleton. It’s our home, but other than that we would love to share our home. Our home is a place where all of us, including you, co-existing in the same place, making the most out of ourselves by creating something meaningful. We believe that there are communities out there looking for a space they could use, a place for creation, a shelter much needed to help them create something. So I guess here we are, ready to be a part of their journey by providing a spacious home to start with.
To be more concrete, this home will be used and very much open for communities to held events or gatherings. Feeling enthusiastic, we can’t wait to see and meet other talented and passionate people running things they love, planning and organizing the next big thing in our home. Basically, this home will not just be a flower studio or a place where you could buy Baleton’s flower arrangements, it’s a meeting point where we could share ideas and get to know other extraordinary communities out there. Personally, we hope this home will shelter community who are willing to create something amazing. The purpose of this new home will not only be as a new place for Baleton. We want this new home to bring an impact to your adventure, as a place to share your story with and of course to facilitate you the best flower arrangement in town. Let it be a place where we trade stories and ideas. Making the most out of this home, we feel honored if one day you’ll come to our home. Our doors are always open for those who wants to create something. From Baleton, we present you a home, a warm and much welcome greeting that we named Rumah Baleton.
